Barbara's Star of Christmas 2020 is ...

... her charming friend Sue.

 

Sue has always checked if we needed shopping or anything. Not just for us but for others in our community, and always with a smile! Nothing is too much for Sue and she goes the extra mile. 

Before lockdown she was regularly helping with community groups and activities such as the Seniors Lunch Club. (The Posada Family really enjoyed her taking them to Christmas dinner each year too. We miss not being able to be with you all this year!) 

Now she is continuing to help local residents as part of the Billingshurst Coronavirus Support Group* who are all stars too!

Here is a photo of Sue and her lovely companion called Charlie, who now helps bring care and smiles to others in the community!

Thank you Sue for all your care. You are a star in our community!

Billingshurst Primary School staff are Stars of Christmas 2020!

After what has been a very difficult year for everyone, we think Billingshurst Primary School staff (and children) are stars! The school has needed to find new ways of running to keep staff, children and the community safe this year. They've had to adapt to remote learning, as well as changing the way they teach in class. They've had to be creative and flexible to ensure every child has the best opportunity to learn and feel safe. On top of all this they are having to deal with the emotional and mental impact 2020 has had on the children (as well as the staff and families). Every single staff member has worked tirelessly, and in very challenging circumstances, to make the experience at school as normal as possible for all the children. Both the staff and children have all shown such resilience and dedication this year. Vicar David's Stars of Christmas 2020 are ...

…the children at St. Mary’s Church! Through the long months of lockdown and beyond, their response to the Explorers videos has been a constant source of encouragement and hope to me. Text messages, pictures of artwork and video clips have come rolling into the Vicarage hub, demonstrating time and again that children often have the most profound insights into the ways of God and that we as adults have a lot to learn from them. So thank-you to all our children – you’re wonderful!!   ⭐ 🌟 ⭐ 🌟 ⭐ 🌟 Today is your last chance to win a prize! Our Posada characters are hiding at 8 locations around the village.
