Quiet and loud!

We enjoyed staying with Hannah and her family. She took us to another party, this time at Explorers!
 
The Church cat looked after us whilst Hannah helped to give out the books at Church this morning.


This evening we have been making  a lot of noise, so much the whole village could hear. Yes we helped ring the bells for the Carols by Candlelight service again this year. We love being a part of this tradition!

We are nearly at the end of their journey - one more stop to go!

Meanwhile, Petula found these fellows stopping for morning coffee in Whispers today.
Thanks for sending in the photo.

They'll be there a just little bit longer before continuing their journey- but will they make it back to church in time in time for the Family Nativity?

Billingshurst Primary School staff are Stars of Christmas 2020!

After what has been a very difficult year for everyone, we think Billingshurst Primary School staff (and children) are stars! The school has needed to find new ways of running to keep staff, children and the community safe this year. They've had to adapt to remote learning, as well as changing the way they teach in class. They've had to be creative and flexible to ensure every child has the best opportunity to learn and feel safe. On top of all this they are having to deal with the emotional and mental impact 2020 has had on the children (as well as the staff and families). Every single staff member has worked tirelessly, and in very challenging circumstances, to make the experience at school as normal as possible for all the children. Both the staff and children have all shown such resilience and dedication this year. Vicar David's Stars of Christmas 2020 are ...

…the children at St. Mary’s Church! Through the long months of lockdown and beyond, their response to the Explorers videos has been a constant source of encouragement and hope to me. Text messages, pictures of artwork and video clips have come rolling into the Vicarage hub, demonstrating time and again that children often have the most profound insights into the ways of God and that we as adults have a lot to learn from them.
