Our first week has been busy!

Wow, what an amazing week!


It began at the Christingle service before we all went our separate ways:

The Posada Family enjoyed a lovely night with Joshua and his family, then a night at Holders Close, and a night on the High Street. They have been for a birthday treat with Cherry and Violet (Happy birthday Noel!) and had an evening with Finn (Happy Birthday Finn!) and a day at Ingfield Manor.


Meanwhile, this week Posada 2 helped out at Rainbow Toddlers, and the Pre-school Christmas Service before spending the day with Wakoos. They even got to watch their Christmas Show.

The Wise Men have been to the dentist, and Coco's hairdresser this week, so are looking smart and ready for another week of adventures (after a quick trip to the bank to check on the gold).

Both the Posada Family and the Wise Men popped in to help Carolyn at the Christmas Craft sale.

This weekend they are all staying at the Billingshurst Community Conference Centre, ready for Rainbow Toddlers and a Christmas Lunch on Monday. Why not pop along and say hi - Don't forget to take a photo and send it in to us!

Billingshurst Primary School staff are Stars of Christmas 2020!

After what has been a very difficult year for everyone, we think Billingshurst Primary School staff (and children) are stars! The school has needed to find new ways of running to keep staff, children and the community safe this year. They've had to adapt to remote learning, as well as changing the way they teach in class. They've had to be creative and flexible to ensure every child has the best opportunity to learn and feel safe. On top of all this they are having to deal with the emotional and mental impact 2020 has had on the children (as well as the staff and families). Every single staff member has worked tirelessly, and in very challenging circumstances, to make the experience at school as normal as possible for all the children. Both the staff and children have all shown such resilience and dedication this year. Vicar David's Stars of Christmas 2020 are ...

…the children at St. Mary’s Church! Through the long months of lockdown and beyond, their response to the Explorers videos has been a constant source of encouragement and hope to me. Text messages, pictures of artwork and video clips have come rolling into the Vicarage hub, demonstrating time and again that children often have the most profound insights into the ways of God and that we as adults have a lot to learn from them.
