Our final week

We enjoyed the Scout and Guide Carol Service, then hid in Elsie's bag to get to Rainbow Toddlers.
At St Gabriel's Pre-school  we enjoyed playing with the children.


On Tuesday, we joined the Baby Zone Christmas Party and went home with Josephine to meet her big brother.
Wednesday we watched the trains with Nancy and Adah, before heading to the Toddler Church Christmas Party. We made it to our next host in time for more celebrations - Happy Birthday Jo!
On Friday we were back at Billingshurst Primary School for the last day of term, and their Carol Services.
Where will we spend our final weekend?

And where have the Wise Men been?
They've been to the Weald, and then they went a bit quiet?

Billingshurst Primary School staff are Stars of Christmas 2020!

After what has been a very difficult year for everyone, we think Billingshurst Primary School staff (and children) are stars! The school has needed to find new ways of running to keep staff, children and the community safe this year. They've had to adapt to remote learning, as well as changing the way they teach in class. They've had to be creative and flexible to ensure every child has the best opportunity to learn and feel safe. On top of all this they are having to deal with the emotional and mental impact 2020 has had on the children (as well as the staff and families). Every single staff member has worked tirelessly, and in very challenging circumstances, to make the experience at school as normal as possible for all the children. Both the staff and children have all shown such resilience and dedication this year. Vicar David's Stars of Christmas 2020 are ...

…the children at St. Mary’s Church! Through the long months of lockdown and beyond, their response to the Explorers videos has been a constant source of encouragement and hope to me. Text messages, pictures of artwork and video clips have come rolling into the Vicarage hub, demonstrating time and again that children often have the most profound insights into the ways of God and that we as adults have a lot to learn from them.
