Our final week!

We made it to the Billingshurst Primary School Carol service and the Baby Zone Christmas party on Tuesday!
Then stayed with Chloe and Ethan before heading to the library on Wednesday. But some of us were missing. They went off on their own adventure. (All will be revealed later.) Did you spot who?

We spent Thursday with Jennifer and Alexander, but still not all of us! Its ok though, everyone made it to Band practise on Thursday evening, before meeting Dave.

After spending a night with Debbie and Heidi, the churchwarden took us to The Six Bells - Carol singing of course!

We'll be helping the bell ringers before the Candlelit carols (6:30pm Sunday). Plus we have two more lovely families to squeeze in before we finish our journey and head back to the Family Nativity @4pm on Christmas Eve (at St Mary's Church Billingshurst)!
Surely there isn't enough time!

Billingshurst Primary School staff are Stars of Christmas 2020!

After what has been a very difficult year for everyone, we think Billingshurst Primary School staff (and children) are stars! The school has needed to find new ways of running to keep staff, children and the community safe this year. They've had to adapt to remote learning, as well as changing the way they teach in class. They've had to be creative and flexible to ensure every child has the best opportunity to learn and feel safe. On top of all this they are having to deal with the emotional and mental impact 2020 has had on the children (as well as the staff and families). Every single staff member has worked tirelessly, and in very challenging circumstances, to make the experience at school as normal as possible for all the children. Both the staff and children have all shown such resilience and dedication this year. Vicar David's Stars of Christmas 2020 are ...

…the children at St. Mary’s Church! Through the long months of lockdown and beyond, their response to the Explorers videos has been a constant source of encouragement and hope to me. Text messages, pictures of artwork and video clips have come rolling into the Vicarage hub, demonstrating time and again that children often have the most profound insights into the ways of God and that we as adults have a lot to learn from them.
